Religious Services

Rosh Hashanah 2018: The second day of Rosh Hashanah this year features an alternative service. Please join the cantor and our choir in song. Click to download the song sheets: MHJC Rosh Hashanah songs 2018

Services at MHJC are warm and communal. Our services are conducted by our rabbi and members of our congregation, many of whom take part on a regular basis.

Friday evening services incorporate both Hebrew and English. Our Saturday morning services are recited mostly in Hebrew and transliteration booklets are available. Both services are fully egalitarian.

Check our calendar for the dates of our Friday night musical Shabbats and for our Saturday morning lunch and learns (immediately following services).

Friday evening Shabbat services begin at either 7:00, 7:30 or 8:00 p.m., depending on the particular Shabbat.  Sometimes we have musical Shabbats and sometimes we offer themed Shabbats, such as our Aloha Shabbat or Shabbat Under the Stars.

Saturday Shabbat morning services begin at 9:30 a.m.

We also hold evening minyans at 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

Junior Congregation is held once a month on Shabbat (Saturday) morning at 10:00a.m. Minyan Munchkins (Shabbat Tots/Shabbat & Me) are held monthly.

Check the calendar, your weekly emails or contact the main office for dates and times.
