How long has Manetto Hill Jewish Center (MHJC) been in existence?  Since 1969.

Is MHJC an egalitarian synagogue?  Yes. MHJC was the first egalitarian Conservative synagogue on Long Island- men and women share responsibilities in leading services, read Torah, and assume leadership positions in the synagogue and within our congregation.

How can I join MHJC?  You can join in person or by downloading the online membership application, Mail or bring it to: Manetto Hill Jewish Center, 244 Manetto Hill Road, Plainview, NY 11803.  Contact us or call (516) 935-5454 to have a membership form emailed to you.

How long is my membership good for?  Annual membership is good for one year from July 1 to June 30.

What if I can’t afford membership? Everyone can afford membership at MHJC because our Give From the Heart program allows you to decide your Sustaining Annual Pledge. You Say What You Pay. What do I get for my Sustaining Annual Pledge?  You receive all of the benefits of membership and become part of our growing family which will always support you through life’s challenges and celebrate your blessings with you. Click here to see the benefits of membership.

Are High Holiday tickets included with membership?  Yes. A family membership includes two tickets and a single membership includes one ticket. All High Holiday seating is assigned to ensure a more comfortable experience.  Tickets for children under 26 are also complimentary, and as a member you can purchase tickets for immediate family at a reduced rate.

Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly?  The LGBTQIA+ community is a welcome and involved part of MHJC.  We welcome people no matter what their gender identity is, and strive to create an inclusive space.

Are interfaith couples welcome? Yes. We have many interfaith families at MHJC, and they are very much part of our family. Find out more by clicking here.
