MHJC COVID-19 Guidelines and Protocols (as of 2/17/22)

On February 9, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the statewide indoor mask mandate will expire on February 10, 2022. On February 16, the following guidelines went into effect at Manetto Hill Jewish Center.

  • The current mask mandate remains in effect while Religious School is in session.  Staff must wear masks that are surgical, KF94, KN95 or N95.
  • Any visitors entering the building during Hebrew School must be masked.
  • The wearing of masks is optional outside of Religious School hours.
  • Food may be served in the synagogue.

It is very important that you are healthy before entering MHJC.  No one should come into the building if they have a fever or any other COVID-19 symptoms.

We will always consider the health and safety of our members and staff our number one priority in setting these protocols.  If you have any questions regarding our protocols, please send an email to or call (516) 935-5454 and someone will contact you.
